Song Lyrics

Sisters from the start

Two lane after dark

Don't know where we are

But now we're too far apart

Turn up the music loud

Hear it cross the town

When I was feeling down

I knew you’d come around

You held me while I cried

over a guy we both knew lied

Lets forget about the pain

we've both got bottled up inside

Now there's a polaroid of us

holding the memories from

those nights

All the memories and the love

Held in the polaroid of us

All the flowers grew, when you

lit up the room

When I was feeling blew you

always knew

Just what to do

Cuz you shine so bright

Nobody dims your light

You held me while I cried over

a guy we both knew lied

Let's forget about the pain we've

both got bottled up inside

Now there's a polaroid of us

holding the memories

From those nights

All the memories and the love

Held in the polaroid of us

Oooooohh

Oooooooohh

Ooooooo

All the memories and the love

held in the polaroid of us.

About the song

I co-wrote this song with Liz Sharpe in the summer of 2024, a few months after moving to Nashville at age 16. This song is about my best friend, Sarah whom I missed so much. Some girls are too near and dear to not consider our sisters.
